A platform to share the Good News

Milton Keynes Gospel Radio is developing links with churches, charities and potential partners to put together inclusive content and events that will share the Gospel. By communicating in a consistent and timely manner using internet radio, related websites, social media and events the Christian message will be widely available in the city and further afield. This  provides:

“A platform that inspires believers to come together and worship God with one voice”

A presentation by David Stewart, CEO of ALP Website & Marketing Services, looks at this area in more detail, i.e. internet broadcasting and how the internet can promote the gospel in an effective, inclusive and cost effective way.

Agenda

The prelaunch was envisioned as an interactive event combining presentations, discussion, worship and prayer.  The audience, of over 40 people, comprised Christian leaders and believers from across the UK and this mix generated debate and support.

Objectives of the event

Building the Kingdom

Building the Kingdom is at the core of the charity. The radio and associated websites, social media, events and services are focussed on that goal. We are working hard to define what that means in practice, how this will be communicated and how it benefits the community. Collaboration with Christian leaders and people of a like mind is an integral part of our approach and we are actively seeking partnerships and joint initiatives with churches and Christian organisations across the city.

Internet radio and outreach

This presentation defines internet broadcasting and David outlines the ALP Outreach Model. This outlines how the internet is used to entertain, inform and motivate using online services that include radio and TV broadcasting. Critically, shared messages and content is created, albeit the language and presentation will be different for each audiences.  David uses two examples to show what churches are doing now to broadcast radio and TV direct to homes, churches and hospitals via TV’s computers and mobile devices.

A community service

We are engaging with the community to develop our services and bring the love of Jesus to our city in word, music and deed.

We are consulting with people in the coming months and we will  share the results with the public in the spring of 2019 as part of our ongoing rollout.

Dedication

The event ended with prayers of dedication and worship.   Thank you to everybody who attended the event.   We are grateful for the money that was given. This builds capability and enables us to build the Kingdom along with our brothers and sisters in Milton Keynes and beyond.

Next steps

Our post event review concluded with a commitment to develop our services as outlined at the prelaunch and to come back to our stakeholders and supporters to report progress in the spring of 2019.

Foremost in our thoughts and prayers is the seeking of God’s will and manifestation of His purposes.  To that end, we ask for your ongoing prayer and practical support.
